Get to know our Team:

Grab’s Security team supports the organization across multiple geographies and business units. We plan, execute and enforce policies and standards to ensure the physical security of our people, facilities and other key assets. We are looking for a security leader to join our team in Singapore. As the Head of Security Operations at Grab, you will help build our physical security program to support Grabbers as they work around the globe. You will work cross functionally within other regional and in-country teams to keep our employees and offices safe.


Get to know the Role:

  • Lead the team handle all physical security operations globally;

  • Serve as a leader on the team, and manage our security operations function

  • Coordinate with internal teams to develop risk mitigation strategies for imminent threat scenarios, including workplace violence prevention.

  • Build complete policy and procedure guidance documents for vendor behavior, security practices, user operations escalations, event management, crisis management, and incident documentation.

  • Lead sensitive investigations



The day-to-day activities:

  • Understand the respective country’s business objectives and assist the country to provide security advisory and solutioning;

  • Build employee education programming to increase security awareness levels to develop a culture of security that protects our users.

  • Develop a global response team consisting of employee volunteers that can assist during an emergency in each office.

  • Be responsible for oversight and management of security activities, including CCTV, alarm systems, access control systems, and security staff at all company sites, with a unified approach of escalation and response.

  • Be a great communicator and solid project manager, able to effectively prioritize and advance a large number of projects happening simultaneously, often on tight deadlines.


The must haves:

  • Minimally bachelor's degree - 6+ years of experience;

  • An analytical mindset with ability to present and execute on actionable findings;

  • Strategic mindset in thinking about the bigger picture and how we can improve as a company;

  • Proven conflict resolution skills;

  • Possess excellent problem solving/decision making, communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Executive presence to be able to influence leaders across the organization;

  • An ability to work cross-functionally, independently or virtually in a minimally structured and fast-paced environment;

  • Self-motivated to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet deadlines;

  • Be traveling on a regular and/or ad hoc basis (expect more than 5 days per month);

  • Proficiency in productivity tools (Google docs)

  • Solid spoken and written communication skills;

  • Experience in engaging across Asian markets and cultures;

  • Start-up experience a plus;

  • Stay current on industry and governmental regulations, and develop strong relationships with law enforcement, government or private sector counterparts;

  • Existing network of private and public sector contacts.
