Get to know the Role:
As Head of Market Insights, you get to lead a team that takes on some of the most challenging and fascinating problems in transport, food delivery, logistics, and the space around. You guide the team in applying both traditional and offbeat methods in analysing market data that helps form key stakeholders' perspectives of the ever-changing market. You are directly responsible for promoting a culture of being an independent, neutral voice in the company, and of raising the bar constantly for ourselves and others. You are expected to strongly support the freedom to explore and innovate.
The day-to-day activities:
- Be an active bridge between management and the team to ensure that your team’s work constantly adds value to the priorities of our decision-makers.
- Supervise your team’s work to ensure high quality analysis that is informative and insightful.
- Scan the horizon for emerging threats and motivate your team to explore and investigate new areas of interest.
- Seek out potential new sources of information and data; develop and mature these sources so that they value-add to your pool of information.
- Build strong internal and external network; gathering analysing and distributing collated information about the business, markets, competitors, and any aspect of the external environment to help form key stakeholders' perspectives.
- Manage several end-to-end data projects at a time; designing and piloting various initiatives to meet objectives while scaling efforts with high returns.
What we’re looking for:
- A Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or business-related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in managerial roles.
- Strong communication abilities. Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus!
- Working experience in Indonesian market is a plus! - Familiar with data/BI tools/programs such as MySQL, Excel, and Tableau Software. Experience with R, Python or any programming language is a plus!
- Passionate about solving problems creatively – possesses a relentless need for investigation and data exploration.
