GrabAds is Grab’s advertising business unit in a bid to provide brands with an online-to-offline (O2O) platform to engage with millions of Southeast Asian consumers. GrabAds marries an extensive on-ground fleet of vehicles with digital presence across its eight countries, allowing brands to distribute appealing content and create in-car and digital experiences for consumers.
Get to know the Role:
GrabAds’ offline advertisements currently comprise of car/bus wraps, in-car branding/sampling,in-car digital displays, motorcycle advertising boards & on-bike sampling. We are looking for a Head of Fleet Monetisation who is:
a self-starter who can motivate people despite not having initial direct reporting line
a strategic thinker who can be a visionary in a category that has not seen much innovation or automation
able to understand:-
how physical & digital (fleet) worlds are converging
the grassroots logistical challenges of offline fleet monetisation ie. driver mentality, supply chain, etc.
How to improve driver on-boarding and various fleet logistics through improved process & automation
various SE Asian regulatory challenges around various fleet monetisation formats
How to accurately forecast fleet revenues from both direct and indirect channels such as re-sellers
The day-to-day activities
Lead regional partnerships for fleet monetization ie. re-sellers
Work closely with product & engineering to test & refine driver, passenger & internal ops- facing products for advertising across the fleet
Design best practices for ops, partnerships & sales across all markets
The must haves:
At least 5-7 years of ad tech or fleet monetization experience, preferably in SE Asia
Experience working with regional teams
Analytical with strong bias for data based decisions
Fleet background in transportation, either from ride hailing, taxi, limo, etc
Outdoor advertising background. Previous fleet advertising experience is a strong plus
Good sense of various digital innovations in Outdoor advertising
B.A from a top-tier university, M.B.A. a big plus
Pluses, but not must haves:
previous re-seller/channel management experience in SE Asia
previous experience scaling a business with strong processes and/or automation a plus
trade marketing and/or sampling experience a plus but not mandatory
experience managing a P&L
