We are looking for machine learning engineers who are passionate about solving large scale optimization problems that have impact on people’s daily lives. This role is responsible for building and custom training best-in-class AI, machine learning, and deep learning solutions to deliver impact to our riders, partners and business teams.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience building production scale web services with 3+ years experience leveraging ML frameworks such as TensorFlow for custom training. And the experience in team leadership is also necessary.
What you will have ownership for delivering:
As the leader role of an engineering team, you will have the opportunity to build up a self-sufficient ML engineering team
Design and push the implementation of our AI / ML Roadmap and strategy
Apply expert software development skills to a wide range of ML-related coding projects
Utilizing the ML platform and tools for testing, training deep learning, regression and rule-based based models.
Work with product, data science, and operations teams to enhance algorithms, and custom train models
Build and scale our ML platform as we increase customer and partner adoption.
Required skills:
Team leadership skill including people management and project management
MS in Computer Science or related technical field
Degree or experience in one machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing.
5+ years industry experience designing, building and supporting large scale systems in production.
3+ years with hands on ML experiences
Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow for custom training; or at least one ML framework, such as Torch, Caffe, MxNet, TensorFlow, Spark
Strong experience SaaS based software development, Node.js, Python, Java, C++ deploying Web services, REST APIs into large scale production system
Preferred qualifications:
2+ years of experience in team leading
5+ years of experience in practical application of AI/ ML solutions
Experience in a consumer web or mobile company.
Knowledge of distributed systems
Expertise within one of the machine learning domains such as Vision, Speech, optimization, NLP or Personalization
Experiences working in large scale optimization problems a plus
Hands on experience with deep learning/ neural networks a plus
Experience using cloud services like Amazon and/or Azure a major plus.
IoT experiences a plus
Experience in open source software development desired (Apache Software Foundation or similar)
