Head of Compliance

The day-to-day activities:

a. Develop, improve, and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
b. Analysing risks as well as identifying, describing, and estimating the risk affecting the business.
c. Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
d. Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
e. Draft, modify and implement company policies & legality
f. Collaborate with corporate management and POPs division to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations
g. Assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks
h. Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
i. Lead the organization accomplishes its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

The must haves:

a. Minimum bachelor degree
b. Proven experience as head of compliance or related position
c. An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
d. In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations
e. Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
f. BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or related field
g. Certified compliance professional is a plus

h. Strategic thinking and leadership skills
i. Communication skills and decision maker
j. Detail and assertive
k. Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines ​
