As the Head of Business Development for GrabFood, you will be responsible for building valuable and long-lasting partnerships with Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and large F&B chains.
These partnerships are intended to secure strategic competitive advantage for Grab, leveraging the joint strength of Grab and partners.
The day-to-day activities:
- Plan out priority partners to pursue, in line with overall GrabFood strategy
- Strategise on partnership model and content, with help of internal data
- Engage prioritized partners for discussion, structuring and negotiation
- Work closely with internal product team and marketing operations team to execute deals
- Assist team members periodically with introductions or brain storms
- Build and maintain relationships with the C-suite of partner organisations
- Engage with Partnership counterparts in leading F&B brands
- Come up with strategies to grow the relationship over time in Sales and profitability
- Collaborate with country BD team to align on strategy and partnership targets
The must haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any field (preferably in business, management or marketing)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in dealing with major brands is a must. Of great importance is experience in structuring collaboration terms, securing deals and collaboration campaign
- Ability to build good relationships with partners and match partners’ needs and organisation resources to grow the GrabFood business
- Proficient with data and gathering insights from data to help inform decisions
- Ability to fuse business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted deals
- Energetic, enthusiastic and calm even in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- F&B industry background is an advantage but not required
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
- A highly independent individual with excellent team-working skills
- Excellent time management and communication skills with excellent leadership skills
- Microsoft Office skills are required (MS. Excel, MS. Word and MS. Powerpoint)
