(HCM) Software Manager (Project Manager)

A Software Manager at Confluence is responsible for leading a team of 8 to 10 Software Engineers and Quality Engineers who work on all phases of software development including new feature development, software maintenance, and quality assurance. This position is responsible for the staffing, development, delivery, and ongoing continuous improvement of the software engineering team. The Software Manager takes a “hands-on” approach by participating in technical discussions, code reviews, test planning and other Scrum activities. As part of a global software product development organization, the Software Manager works with US leaders on cross-functional improvement initiatives.

What Will You Do?

• Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and facilitate the success of the Software and Quality team members.
• Create Employee Development Plans that support, encourage and evaluate personal growth.
• Maintain team morale via regular individual and team-wide communications.
• Perform all HR management activities for the team.
• Define, implement and improve software development processes and tools.
• Lead the team to meeting their commitments by removing roadblocks and providing hands-on assistance.
• Ensure the team is adhering to established quality practices and is proactively identifying quality concerns.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop strategies to improve technology and enhance the product.
