Gemstone & Diamond Appraisal Specialist

1. Gemstone & Diamond Quality Inspection

• Inspect and classify the quality of incoming diamonds and gemstones.

• Examine diamonds and gemstones during production: identify chips, cracks, surface issues, and defects as items move through production stages and before entering the finished-goods warehouse.

• Inspect and determine defects (chips, cracks, scratches) on diamonds and gemstones returned by customers or the business team.

• Verify gemstones and related items acquired from customers in cases where invoices or product information are missing.

2. Inventory & Appraisal Coordination

• Collaborate with the inventory control team to appraise diamonds during scheduled inventory checks as required.

3. Quality Grading Support

• Work with warehouse teams to re-evaluate pricing and classify diamonds and colored stones according to company standards.

4. Equipment Management

• Manage and operate appraisal devices and specialized inspection equipment in accordance with company regulations.

5. Other Duties

• Perform additional tasks assigned by direct managers to meet production needs during different periods.

Certification in gemology from a recognized institution (e.g., GIA, IGI).

•    Proven experience in gemstone evaluation and appraisal.

•    Strong analytical and observational skills.

•    Knowledge of gemstone treatments, synthetics, and market trends.

•    Excellent communication and customer service skills.

•    Ability to work with jewelers, collectors, and industry professionals.

•    Attention to detail and a passion for gemstones.

•    Proficiency in using gemological tools and equipment.
