Environmental Staff

Main Role:

The Environmental Staff is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of the organization’s environmental management programs. This role ensures compliance with relevant environmental laws, regulations, and standards, and contributes to the company’s sustainability and corporate responsibility objectives.

JDs:

• Develop & implementation of annual environmental & energy management plan
• Monitoring of environmental quality: domestic/industrial wastewater, emissions, and ambient air
• Prepare and submit periodic reports to government authorities
• Monitor legal updates and conduct compliance assessments on environmental and energy regulations.
• Design safety banners, posters, and environment signs
• Conduct energy audit reports and coordinate maintenance for post-audit improvement projects.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental improvements, energy savings, and emission reductions
• Manage & preserve of green spaces and landscapes to enhance environmental quality collect & report utility & environmental data, including energy, water, waste, chemicals, and ghg emissions
• Collect & prepare materials for factory assessment or reporting requests related to environmental & energy matters
• Prepare greenhouse gas inventory reports and implement ghg management measures control waste risks (wastewater, solid waste, air emissions) through proper management and source segregation
• Manage emergency response equipment & ensure operational readiness
• Identify chemical risks during usage and disposal; assess emissions related to chemical activities.
• Manage & control service providers/ suppliers (for the operation & maintenance of wastewater treatment systems, )
• Conduct onboarding training on sustainability topics for new employees
• Conduct onboarding and regulatory training on energy & environment topics for employees.

Education: Graduated from college with specialization in environment or higher (priority is given to technical school)

Experience: 1 or more years of experience in Environmental management position in apparel or footwear factories (Nike factory experience preferred, adidas)

Knowledge:  Must understand garments and production

Skills

• Basic communication English
• MS Office, Adobe Illustrator is a plus
• Time management - Work smart/ecient/focused
