As Data Scientist, People Analytics, you will be part of our People Analytics Team.

The team strives to revolutionize human resources the same way that Grab has revolutionized transportation.

  • Solve some of the most challenging and fascinating problems in People Operations through data analytics and insights 

  • Drive special projects that directly impact Grab People strategy and objectives, and drive service delivery improvements and excellence

The Role:

  • Support the implementation of our People Analytics growth strategy

  • Support building our capabilities in data analysis, data science

  • Work closely with the Head of People Analytics and People Operations Leadership Team to deeply understand the Talent and business problems facing Grab, and then translate them into hypotheses that can be tested through data

  • Build advance analytics models to test hypotheses

  • Communicate findings to business users

  • Influence stakeholders to make Insights based decisions

 

Must haves:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics), or equivalent experience

  • Min of 5 years’ experience in advance Analytics (in any domain) and in building supervised or un-supervised Machine learning models around classification, prediction, clustering, text analysis, recommendation engine 

  • Strong acumen is feature engineering and metrics development

  • Good Insights based story-telling skill

  • Strong analytical skills, with experience solving ambiguous problems using data and providing practical business insights

  • Statistical programming fluency in languages like R, Python, SQL, or SAS and/or other tools for statistical analysis

  • Excellent communication and presentation skill, lead and facilitate conversations between Analytics-, Technology- and People Operations teams

  • Passionate about solving problems, relentless need for investigation and data exploration

  • Efficient time manager in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity

  • Stakeholder Management skills

  • Change Management skills

 

Good to have

  • A degree or elective in Organizational or Social Psychology, Behavioural Economics or Consumer Behaviour

  • Practical experience in applying Design thinking principles 

  • HR/People Analytics experience
