Key Responsibilities:
1. Customs Declaration & ECUS System Oversight:
Supervise all customs declarations via ECUS (VNACCS); may work with external brokers but must understand the entire declaration workflow and documentation.
2. Duty-Free Import/Export Management:
Handle duty-exempt import of raw materials and duty-free export of finished goods under EPE/Export Processing or bonded warehouse regulations.
3. ERP & ECUS Integration (e.g., WayToGo):
Operate or collaborate on tools integrating ERP systems (SAP, Odoo, etc.) with ECUS; identify discrepancies and propose resolutions.
4.Customs Liaison & Compliance:
Act as the key contact with local customs authorities; handle inspections, urgent clearance issues, and post-clearance compliance.
5. HS Code Classification & C/O Handling:
Accurately assign and maintain HS codes for materials/products; manage Certificates of Origin (C/O) and related documents.
6. Duty-Free Inventory Tracking:
Monitor and reconcile inventory of duty-exempt materials across import, usage, and export; ensure consistency with ERP and customs records.
7. Regular Reporting & Year-End Finalization:
Prepare quarterly/year-end customs reports on duty-free material use; support year-end reconciliation and customs audits.
8. Internal Support & SOP Development:
Train internal teams (document controllers, purchasing, logistics) on customs compliance; develop and maintain customs SOPs.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in customs clearance operations in Vietnam.
3. Proficient in ECUS (VNACCS) system; able to manage or oversee work with freight forwarders.
4. Familiar with duty-exempt import/export regulations, especially for EPE or bonded warehouse operations.
5. Experience working with ERP systems and tools like WayToGo for ERP–ECUS integration.
6. Strong knowledge of HS code classification, C/O handling, and customs inspection procedures.
7. Fluent in Vietnamese and English (Chinese proficiency is a plus).
8. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail in data reconciliation
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience setting up customs workflows for a new factory.
2. Experience in furniture manufacturers
3. Participated in ERP–ECUS integration projects.
4. Involved in duty-free year-end reconciliation and reporting.
5. Direct experience working with customs officers during audits or inspections.
6. Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle urgent customs issues quickly and effectively.
