Get to know our Team:

Communications drives Grab’s growth by promoting and protecting its brand and reputation, ensuring its position as the leading ride-hailing platform in Southeast Asia.

The Communications team is responsible for telling the Grab story around the world. Whether it’s speaking to media and online influencers, industry commentators, thought leaders or the wider community, the Communications team is the voice of Grab.

The Communications team is a strategic partner and solution provider to the multiple business functions in Grab – to help them drive their business objectives. The team ensures that internal and external stakeholders understand and support Grab’s vision and business strategy, including corporate partnerships, new products, partner programmes, marketing campaigns and internal programmes.


Get to know the Role:

  • Develop content and campaigns that enhances our connection with the Grab community. Tell our story about Grab’s values, social impact and technology. Be creative, relevant and relatable. Trendspot and trendjack.
  • Work across the Grab network. Develop the content strategy for use across Southeast Asia. Take the initiative to work with regional teams on what works best for their countries. Collaborate with multiple business functions to sniff out the right story and work with the Marketing team on cross-channel distribution.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Be a content strategist and data scientist. Help our community learn something from data. You’re passionate about a test-and-learn methodology, to use content as part of a feedback loop. Track results and analyse for insights and future strategy development.
  • Own the end-to-end journey of ideation, creation, distribution and measurement. Find a story and write in different editorial styles. Express your creative and design sensibilities to envision how content will be presented and distributed in different formats (long form/ short form/ video/ gifs/ etc) and using different channels. Be familiar with multimedia production and editing. Understand paid media, communities, CMS, SEO, GA.
  • Project manage and provide the conceptual briefs to team of freelance content creators (writers/ designers/ videographers/ etc) or content agency, and budgets, if needed.


The must haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (visual communications, mass communications, journalism)
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in creative suite of tools
  • Proficiency in SEO and GA
  • Experience working in a regional team
  • Creative content ideation and production across multiple content formats and channels
  • Background in journalism (online preferred) and media production
  • Keen interest in technology and how it helps people and cities
  • Prior experience in an agency or organisation managing content marketing will be advantageous.
