Get to know the Role:

The Business Development Associate is expected to identify and drive new partnerships as well as maintain and upsell existing partnerships. These partnerships aim to secure supply across GrabCar, GrabTaxi, GrabExpress and GrabFood, as well as to assist operators and partners with their needs as Grab’s partners.

The successful candidate has strong written and verbal communication skills. He is skilled at negotiation, stakeholder management and contract management. He also needs to know project management in order to execute partnerships and see these come to fruition.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Business development and partnerships – including initial meetings, negotiations, deal closing and support
  • Perform basic contract management – including contract writing and reviews
  • Ensure that Grab is well-represented in front of partners
  • Ensure that mutually beneficial partnerships are formed between Grab and its partners
  • Monitor budget utilization for partnerships
  • Analyze financial value of partnerships and deals formed between Grab and partners
  • Work with teammates and other departments to execute projects


The must haves:

  • Minimum Diploma degree, preferably in any Management or Communications course
  • Business Development
  • Negotiation
  • Contract Management (basic)
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Communications
  • Excel and PowerPoint
  • Business development and partnerships building
  • Sales and Marketing
  • Experience in working for a tech startup is a plus
  • Experience in the transport sector is a plus

  • A team player who works effectively across all levels of the organization
