AI Science Manager

Grab’s AI Accelerator team enables new features and products for Grab with innovations in AI. We develop and apply deep learning and machine learning to our large-scale datasets and wide-ranging applications. As a manager, you will participate in the design of the deliverables, provide technical guidance and mentorship to your team. Grab is a dynamic workplace where the role is flexible.

Get to know the role:

• Responsible for delivering AI features that produce customer impact

• Interfacing with product, business, design and participate in prioritization

• Choosing appropriate AI modeling strategies that balance power and simplicity

• Hiring: attracting and retaining engineering and science talent

• Coaching, mentoring and growing people in the team

• Architecture, engineering design, code reviews

• Ensuring quality (engineering and modeling) and stability

The Must Haves:

· Ph.D. or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related technical disciplines

· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:

o Deep Learning

o Natural Language Processing

o Computer Vision

o Speech recognition

o Recommender Systems

· Track record of managing teams and shipping machine learning products
