WCO engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization & also is responsible for implementing and maintaining a WCO – World Class Operation program to maximize equipment effectiveness, minimize downtime, and improve overall equipment reliability.This role focuses on identifying and eliminating waste, streamlining processes, improving quality, and increasing overall efficiency, and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement WCO strategies.
Job Description
- TPM/WCO Strategy Development: Develop and implement a strategic TPM/WCO roadmap aligned with the organization's goals, focusing on equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency
- Program Implementation: Play a critical role as a lead in deploying TPM/WCO pillars & improvement activities. Oversee the implementation of all TPM/WCO pillars, including autonomous maintenance, planned maintenance, focused improvement, early equipment management, and training and education.
- Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and monitor the effectiveness of the TPM/WCO program. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the TPM/WCO budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support program implementation and maintenance activities.
- Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, engineering, operations, and quality, to ensure alignment and integration of TPM/WCO activities. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to gain support and buy-in for the TPM/WCO program.
- Facilitate Kaizen Events: Organize and lead Kaizen events, workshops, and training sessions to engage employees in problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis: Use lean tools and methodologies to identify and address root causes of problems. Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize processes using Lean Six Sigma, Industry 4.0 technologies and methodologies. Implement digital solutions to automate tasks, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Technology Implementation: Lead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Standardization and Documentation: Develop and maintain standardized work procedures and documentation to ensure consistent processes and sustainable results.
- Change Management: Lead and manage change initiatives related to lean implementation. Overcome resistance to change, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and ensure smooth transitions.
- Training and Mentoring: Provide training and mentoring to employees on lean principles and tools. Coach and support them in applying lean concepts in their daily work.
