True Strive is a start-up company founded in Vietnam on February 22, 2022. We combine a technology system to connect students with U.S. mentors and professionals and coaching programs to assist younger Vietnamese generations who intend to pursue their dreams in America and become U.S. citizens. By connecting prospective student who plans to study abroad with professional mentors, student mentors, and academic advisors from the U.S. educational systems to build a better transition to a new life in America and reach their goals more efficiently and faster.

We’re looking for a part-time/full-time intern position for UX/UI Designer Intern to join our team and start working on beginning of SEPTEMBER 2022!  

UI/UX Designer responsibilities include:

• Gathering and evaluating user requirements in collaboration with product/service managers and engineers/IT teams.
• Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps
• Designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
• Build page navigation buttons and search fields
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
• Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables)
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness)
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images  

Requirement & Skills:

• Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
• Portfolio of design projects
• Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g., Wireframe. cc and InVision)
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Team spirit;  Experience working in a collaborative team environment
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with other team members
• Being active in communication, giving problem feedback in the project and giving options, improving work or solutions.
• Good time-management skills- BSc in Design, Computer Science, or relevant field. We also accept no degree but at least a high school graduate with substantial experience in 1-2 years.
• Have a user-centered design mindset
• Be familiar with Sketch, InVision, Photoshop, Figma, and other UI/UX tools
• Experience in implementing and improving a design system.
• Stay current with trends, best practices, and methodologies in UI/UX, information architecture, and UX/UI design.
