Process Control & Instructor (Weaving)

• Team Building, Training & Workforce Management
• Build up the Weaving operational team for commissioning and start-up.
• Manage and supervise operator and fixer teams in the Weaving department.
• Train new and existing team members to improve performance, working discipline, and technical skills.
• Assign daily tasks, provide instructions, and monitor operator and fixer performance.
• Train QA/QC teams on fabric defect identification, grading, and quality standards.
• Process Control, Machine Setup & Technical Management
• Analyze historical product data to define and optimize weaving machine parameters.
• Monitor and control the full weaving process to ensure optimal performance and quality output.
• Set up and adjust weaving machine parameters for lightweight cotton fabrics from 90g/m², Ne 30/1 to Ne 120/1.
• Ensure proper machine settings for different yarn types, fabric designs, weave patterns, yarn counts, PPI, EPI, and fabric constructions.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to optimize equipment utilization and machine performance.
• Quality Control, Style Change & Continuous Improvement
• Monitor fabric quality, inspect weave defects, yarn defects, and color issues, then analyze root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Plan and execute style changes, including warp beam changes, drawing-in, knotting, cam setup, and shedding mechanism adjustment.
• Minimize downtime during style changes through effective planning and execution.
• Analyze and report production KPIs, including efficiency, quality, downtime, and waste.
• Apply 6S, conduct safety and environmental risk assessments, train teams on safety procedures and LOTO, and optimize energy consumption

• Education & Experience
• University degree or College degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in weaving within a woven fabric mill, with strong experience in lightweight cotton fabrics, Air Jet weaving machines, drawing-in, knotting, cam setup, shedding mechanism adjustment, warping, sizing, and preparation processes.
• Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of Air Jet weaving machines such as RedFlag, Tsudakoma, Toyota, Picanol, and Itema.
• Strong understanding of satin, sateen, twill, plain weave constructions, yarn counts, PPI, EPI, and fabric construction.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, process control, training, and coaching skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• ERP/MES knowledge is an advantage.
• Language / Other Requirements
• Good command of English or Chinese; candidates who know Chinese are preferred.
• Below 45 years old.
• Willing to work in shifts.
• Able to work under supervision and undergo periodic performance reviews.
