Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

 He and the personnel assigned to him/her are applying the corporate directives, site specific rules, safety regulations and environmental protection measures and that they perform their work accordingly.

 Commissioning is performed in a safe and timely manner in accordance with the contract, site regulations, budget and time schedule.

 All available tools and ressources are utilized in order to achieve the objectives of his/her assignment and, as well, to strive for continuous product improvements and cost reduction.

 All commissioning activities are performed with a proper RAMS

 All commissioning high risk activities are carried out under PTW procedure.

 When nominated system owner, he is responsible for securing and confirming all TIP isolations.

 Deviations from the agreed objetives are reported and that corrective measures are initiated in agreement with and with the support of the COMM.

 Commissioning is prepared as specified in the work instructions.

 The systems specified within the scope of work of the ComLe is managed, performed, coordinated and monitored the in line with COMM’s insctructions.

 Project milestones are reached on time and  all required information is provided to the COMM to assist in their realization. 

 Organization and supervision of the safe plant operation (site rules, safety regulations, shift log, etc.) from system turnover from erection until PAC in line with COMM’s insctructions.

 Turnover of systems from erection to commissioning and from commissioning to the customer are facilitated in accordance with current procedure/work instruction.

 Commissioning execution according to the specifications and engineering documents, taking into account the safety instructions, environmental protection measures and local regulations.

 Validation of all witness points of systems specified within the scope of work of the ComLe as defined by contract, local regulations and project witnessing documentation.

 Execution of the additional commissioning tests, as defined by contract and local regulations, which are beyond the regular commissioning scope.

 Engineering department is involved in handling technical problems and decisions.

 COMM and the head office for commissioning receive regular information updates.

 Commissioning, operation, quality, record and feedback documentation are issued.

 The commissioning documentation issued by the ComE’s is approved and signed after having checked the same for completeness and correctness.

 Hand over of the collected and compiled commissioning, quality and feedback documentation and software (originals) with a document list to the COMM for release.

 Technical deviations are reported with a corresponding non-conformance report (NCR) and that the same are followed up until their completion.

 Adiary is kept for recording daily work, occurrences, problems, special information, etc. plus a list of pending items.

 Keeping of logbooks to record commissioning and operational events as specified in the work instructions.

 Updated information related to the commissioning system time schedule and the commissioning staff planning is provided to the COMM.

 Request for ComE’s, specialists and further associated staff are timely submitted to the COMM.

 The commissioning and other personnel assigned to him/her is managed, their performance, assessed, supervised, supported and promoted.

 The commissioning test equipment is managed, inspected and properly handled.

 The ComE’s assigned to him/her are supported and trained.

 Correct behavior and good teamwork within the commissioning team is observed in accordance with company policy and local requirements/regulations.

 He participates to site meetings in line with COMM’s instructions.

 The Customer operation and maintenance staff is trained as instructed by the COMM.

 The time sheets of the personnel assigned to him/her are checked and forwarded to the COMM.

 The open item lists of systems under his/her responsibility are closed in line with COMM’s instructions.

 The return of all commissioning test equipment is organized as soon as possible.

 Required information is provided to the COMM for reporting purposes.

 A Field Service Report is issued and forwarded to the COMM.

 All members of staff reporting to him/her are assessed in accordance with current procedure.

 A technical experience feedback is issued to project management and project engineering departments during debriefing meeting(s) to be organized by the project.

 Statistical, administrative and financial feedback is provided to the COMM.
