Database Administrator (DBA)

An expert database administrator (DBA) will keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7.
The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend high accessibility for end-users.

*Job Description:

• Investigate existing database systems.
• Cooperate with others responsible person in IT team to manage and ensure the availability of Core database system.
• Planning to migrate to newer database version.
• Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each system role.
• Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
• Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
• Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.
• Others task which is assigned by company.

*Job Requirement:

• Ability to use English well.
• Good presentation skill.
• Proven working experience as a Database administrator.
• Area of expertise: MSSQLServer, MySQL, Oracle; in both Windows and Linux environment.
• Hands-on experience with database standards.
• Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL.
• Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.
• Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools.
• Familiarity with programming languages API.
• Experienced to work for Finance company which requires high availability for strictly control environment.
• Good leadership, great personality, and strong coaching/management skills will be considered at higher positions.
• At least Bachelor degree in a computer science or IT.
• Relevant certification is preferred.

*Best fit to the position when you have:

• Experienced on MSSQLServer migration projec t(MSSQLServer 2000 to MSSQLServer 2008/2014).
• Ability to analyze and optimize performance of SQL Server stored procedures.
• Programming skills to participate in relevant projects (VB, C#, PHP,…).
