Data scientist (Machine Learning/AI)

Established in Tokyo from 2005, from several hundred images and 50 contributors, Pixta group has grown to be the owner of the biggest Ecommerce platform for selling & buying licensed image, video, illustrator... in Japan. 

Our goal is to hire a strong and adaptive Talent Acquisition Officer who will help us in recruiting talents, promote Employer Branding and build a learning working culture.

Responsibilities:

Job Description

• Propose solutions to project problems by reading papers, sources or doing experiments
• Implement the machine learning model in PyTorch
• Debug and fix the machine learning models.
• Prepare and process data
• Follow working standards and processes.
• Report the working progress and situation to the Project Leader regularly

Additional scope for Middle:Some of the company’s AI notable projects:

• Manage working standard and process
• Make sure work aligns with the plan of the project
• Have good decision making on task prioritization and problem solving

Some of the company’s AI notable projects:

• Learning to Rank: rank images on system with more than 80 millions images
• Review Assistant: detect and recognize face in high resolution images (4000-8000px) with high speed
• Image captioning: recommend title for user
• Tag Suggestion: recommend tags for user
• Image Aesthetic: recommend best image frame from a short clip of video

Your Skills and Experience

The best fit candidates will own:

• Self-learning capability and active learning
• Studying in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Applied Math or other quantitative fields from a reputed university.
• Have good coding, communication and presentation skills.
• Be able to self-manage and self-test task
• Have experience in working with Machine Learning & Deep Learning Frameworks
• Have good fundamentals in Math (ex. Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra, etc.)

Additional requirements for Middle:

• Good planning and decision making
• Able to find simple solutions for complex problems
• Working on multiple projects and overcoming difficulties
• Plus for having managerial project skills
