2D Game Artist (800$ - 1,500$)

Direct Report: Head of Creative Services

Job Purpose

• Provide high-quality 2D assets, animations, and environments.
• Work closely with the game developers to make sure the assets and animation work as expected in the game.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality 2D concepts including 2D character concept, environment concept, item concept, etc.
• Produce high-quality 2D final assets in good render including 2D characters, environment, items, etc.
• Work with developer to optimize and import art assets to Unity.
• Master all the necessary tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.

Knowledge & Experience

• Academic background in Arts or equivalent.
• Advance level in Photoshop.
• Great understanding of human anatomy, proportion, and perspective.
• Great understanding of environment composition, perspective, and lighting.
• Ability to accurately estimate time to complete tasks and manage priorities to meet deadlines.
• Ability to follow and adapt to different stylistic guidelines.
• Great understanding of composition, color, shading, and lighting.
• Ability to resolve any artistic or technical issues.
• Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated to learn and acquire new knowledge.
• Gaming industry experience.
• 4-5 years of professional game development experience as a 2D Game Artist.
• Having knowledge of working with Unity and basic 3D software is a plus.

• Advance level in 2D Art: hand-drawing, digital painting, and illustration.
• Having a good sense of initiatives, being original, and inventive.
• A profound sense of creativity and art.
• Great artistic eyes and pay attention to detail.
• Be patient and able to concentrate for extended periods.
• Good interpersonal skills.
