Mô tả công việc

Get to know our Team:

As an Experience Design Researcher (GrabPay), we spend our days digging into how people talk about their lives, money, hopes, and fears so that we can create meaningful experiences for our customers. You’ve got experience as a user researcher or design strategist, and you’re curious about what it’d be like to be a part of the team responsible for GrabPay drive in South East Asia.

For this role, you will be based in Singapore or in the local market.

Get to know the Role:

Understanding others is what you do. You have the strategic ability to communicate with and empathize with customers, derive meaningful insights from your work, and communicate these insights to your stakeholders and partners in an actionable way.

As a member of this team, you’ll be responsible for testing and validating designs, prototypes, and experiences for all of GrabPay’s UI experiences. You’ll work closely with our product and design partners to get a sense of stakeholder objectives, and shape the usability research agenda accordingly. You’ll also be responsible for sharing back what you learn, to influence and inform the product design and development.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Own and run user research: You’ll scope and design user/validation research, and define research objectives based on what your stakeholders most want to learn. Then, you’ll write discussion guides to align the team around research objectives.
  • Manage research logistics: You understand the complexity involved in setting up research, and can handle logistics like a pro–which means meticulously accounting for every last detail of whatever set up might be necessary.
  • Synthesize and share learning: You’ll be responsible for synthesizing what you learn from the research, and sharing that knowledge back to the team. You’ll need to be able to think practically and strategically in order to come up with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Participate in design co-creation sessions to inform the direction of the experience design: You’ll dive into designing experiences and prototypes right along with product managers, designers, and content strategists, helping to shape that experience into the best thing it can be.
  • Going beyond simply capturing insights, you will be helping your teams and clients learn from them. You will use these learnings to inspire, thereby putting design in motion.
  • You have experience in a variety of research methods–interviews, observation, diary studies, prototyping, surveys, user testing, and experiments–at different stages of the design process: to inspire early design work, inform the initial opportunity, collect formative feedback to support iteration, and validate a go-to-market solution.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills. Fluency in multiple media for storytelling–while grounding storytelling in research–a bonus.
  • Be willing to travel to key markets and co-ordinate with on ground staff to uncover insights from users belonging to other cultures.

The must haves:

  • Bachelor degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Sociology or Anthropology or Sociology.
  • At least 4 years of industry work experience in an applied research setting in Local market.
  • Demonstrated experience and comprehensive understanding about Local market. This could be from previous experience in UX / market research.
  • Strong communication skills as a native speaker and writer of the local market. Fluent in English, speech and written.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Sociology or Anthropology
  • 5+ years of qualitative and quantitative user research experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working on digital products with development teams to improve the user experience based on research results
  • Statistical analysis experience.
