Tax Manager

JOB IN SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead all tax and compliance matters for our business operations in Vietnam. This crucial role ensures legal and regulatory adherence, drives proactive tax strategies, manages complex tax issues and submission processes, oversees licensing and land use rights, handles contract review, and acts as the key liaison with government authorities and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and a proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse departments and with external partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and ensure compliance, including identifying tax-saving opportunities and assessing the impact of law changes.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of all local and national tax filings across all entities, overseeing comprehensive tax compliance.
• Manage complex tax computations, supporting documentation, and regulatory alignment, while leading tax audits as the primary contact with consultants and authorities.
• Provide advice and interpretation on tax regulations for all operations and assess tax implications of business initiatives.
• Manage the process of obtaining and renewing all necessary licenses, permits, and registrations, maintaining a comprehensive database.
• Handle all land-use-right matters, including agreements, title issues, negotiations, and collaboration with relevant parties for dispute resolution.
• Collaborate, review, and negotiate complex contracts to ensure tax alignment, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with government authorities and tax officials, acting as the primary contact for tax matters.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure tax compliance integration, provide training, and proactively improve related processes.
• Maintain accurate records of all tax and compliance documents, prepare necessary reports for senior management, and ensure compliance with internal controls.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field (a professional tax qualification is a plus).
• Proven experience in Tax management or similar role, experience in a multinational B2B setting, ideally food processing or manufacturing.
• Demonstrable experience in tax strategy development and implementation, tax issue management, leading audits, and effective liaison with tax authorities.
• In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of Vietnamese tax laws, regulations, and compliance (VAT, CIT, PIT, Customs, international tax).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Vietnamese.
