Get to know the Role
- Build: Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN). Support IT network infrastructure-related work, such as installing Internet connections, WiFi APs, network upgrades and office builds, expansions and relocations.
- Troubleshoot: Where challenging situations are encountered, you will lead the problem-solving effort and service restoration, minimizing downtime and outages
- Travel: See South East Asia, and support our locations worldwide
- Serve: As a subject matter expert in all things networking and provide consulting and guidance to team members
- Guide: Lead, train and influence colleagues who come under your wing, and set standards of service excellence
- Manage: Liaise with ISPs and vendors to provision required services and infrastructure for a successful site launch
- Deliver: Small to Large projects from specifying hardware to installation through to handover of a finished network
- Explore: Be exposed to, and try out new, cutting edge technologies and newer, more efficient ways of doing things
The must haves skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related fields and 4-8 years of experience in a medium to large enterprise level network environment.
- Extensive routing, switching, security, and wireless LAN design, implementation and troubleshooting experience
- Project management and service operational (ITIL) related experience with demonstrable practical skills
- Willing to learn new technologies and systems and able to adapt to a very faced paced, changing environment
- Strong customer service, ability to set priorities and multitask, as well as excellent English communication skills
Really nice to have skills
- Cloud (AWS/Azure) network configuration and integration with on-premises network equipment.
- CCNP or other industry-recognized network certification.
- Network Automation experience using any of the scripting languages (Python, Go, Perl, Bash).
- Prior experience in structured cabling.
- Senior stakeholder management skills - able to articulate clearly to business stakeholders.
- A progressive, forward-thinking mindset and a love of change: "disrupt or be disrupted".
