Product Analyst

You will be leading the efforts to improve our operations using data. You are responsible for collecting and analyzing our transportation data across key markets and presenting key findings to stakeholders at all levels.

You will identify key insights and potential factors affecting operational efficiency and vehicle positioning, and build actionable recommendations for our product and business teams.

The role will involve close interaction with engineering, data science, data architects, software and hardware development teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical.

Bilingual in English and Chinese a plus

Roles and responsibilities

• Run SQL queries, provide reports or updates to support analytic needs of various stakeholders

• Build data expertise and own data quality

• Create pipelines and queries in our data warehouse to analyze large sets of internal data

• Partner with Operations and Engineering teams to develop end-to-end reporting in order to track and improve our operational metrics.

• Engage in discussions to identify problems, quantify and improve our workflow through data analysis

• Build relationships with our operation teams and keep updated on their needs and frontline insights to integrate those findings into your reporting and recommendations

• Work with software engineering to develop dashboard solutions to visualize and monitor our vehicle fleets.

• Monitor industry statistics to help define benchmarks and measure performance

• Reports findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into executive summaries

• Leverage data to understand our products in depth, identify areas of opportunity, and support projects to drive growth and engagement

Experiences required

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or other technical field

• 3+ yrs of experience in a performance-based analytics role

• 2+ years experience in using SQL

• 2+ year(s) experience building data reporting

• Superior data and analytical skills including the ability to define and decompose relevant metrics and to directly perform data analysis in SQL or similar

• Proficiency of effective report/dashboard design and standards.

Desired

• Working knowledge of analytics tools like Tableau

• Demonstrated ability to analyze data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies

• Demonstrated ability to identify and communicate data driven insights

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize among conflicting demands

• Experience using languages and packages such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc.

• Experience with at least one scripting language (PHP, Python, Perl, etc.)

• Experience with large data sets and distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop)

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate & communicate with a wide range of team members from every function and at every level
