Responsibilities

  • Be the first employee at Grab’s new venture – a vehicle rental company in Myanmar; assist Country Head to create, oversee and shape the operation of this new venture

  • Drive the strategic planning and launch process by identifying key and allocating resources to key capabilities

  • Perform fact-based, market and competitive analysis to spot industry shifts and to understand Grab’s sources of competitive advantage

  • Develop with the inputs from Country Head and other Grab managers, projects and solutions for Grab’s core functions such as rental pricing and driver productivity

  • Oversee the execution of projects and strategies with the support and collaboration of internal and external teams.

  • Manage a team to source new prospect to car rental platform, establish process flow, oversee and shape the entire sourcing and on-boarding operations.

  • Train the team to explain rental packages to GrabTaxi drivers and complete all the necessary documentations.

  • To source and work closely with automotive car finance companies & automotive dealers to offer promotional packages to GrabTaxi platform.

  • Manage the process of credit checks.

  • Working with automotive dealers to establish marketing tools to sell the promotional package to GrabTaxi drivers and submit the applications to car finance companies.

  • Leverage various ways to find and source candidates; e.g. telemarketing, web marketing, referral, etc.

  • To build and maintain relationship with GrabTaxi drivers who are under the car rental programs, listening to their needs and offering best programs for drivers

  • Handle problems or issues from drivers, specifically related to car rental enquiries, program details etc.

  • Establish, achieve, and report KPIs and milestones periodically to Country Head

  • Performs any other duties as assigned on ad-hoc basis.

  • Work closely with all related stakeholders to ensure a smooth & well managed rental operation.

The must haves:

  • Minimum 6 years of work experience with 3 years in a managerial capacity
  • Prior experience in management consulting, general management, financial management, investment banking, sales, pre-sales, business development, sales operations roles preferred
  • Experience in working in a start-up / fast-paced environment
  • MBA degree preferred
  • Prepared and able to provide high-level directions as well as be hands on when the situation calls for it
  • Adaptable; enjoys working in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment
  • Strong motivator and collaborator; able to align large groups of people towards a particular goal
  • Proven experience in developing strategies and translating said strategies into tangible outcomes
  • Able to initiate and maintain strong relationships with relevant industry partners, suppliers and contractors
  • Excellent leadership, management, problem solving, negotiations, interpersonal, and communications skills
  • Strong planning, execution and coordination skills
  • Comfortable with numerical analysis and able to translate business queries into financial analysis.
