Summary of Position:
1. Perform machine troubleshooting particularly electrical, along with repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment
2. Source, evaluate and manage suppliers for machinery parts, components and maintenance services
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Electrical Troubleshooting & Repair
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in production machinery, control panels, wiring and PLC systems.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment/
- Maintain maintenance records, including service logs, inspection checklists and repair reports.
- Supplier Sourcing & Management
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for machine components, spare parts and maintenance services.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms and quality standards with vendors.
- Maintain an updated supplier database and ensure timely procurement of critical spares.
- Team Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise technicians and provide technical guidance during repairs and installations.
- Coordinate with the production team to prioritize maintenance activities based on production schedules.
- Train the team on safe electrical practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Propose and implement improvements in electrical systems for efficiency and energy savings.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other relevant standards.
- Monitor and report on energy consumption in line with factory objectives.
