Get to know the Role

We are looking for a Country Procurement Manager to lead the local procurement function in Grab Singapore. We believe a successful candidate has the Heart and Hunger to apply solid procurement fundamentals to a fast growing, fast evolving environment. Day-to-Day Activities 

• You are responsible for shaping Local Country Procurement Strategy & Implementation Plan, thru assessment of local market business needs, spends, category and local supply nuances

• You will partner closely and productively with Country Business Unit Heads in identifying opportunities for spend effectiveness and cost efficiencies

• You will champion Procurement Policies & Processes thru regular deployment of trainings, related programs and practices eg. Compliance, Commercial and Contracting Discipline, Vendor Relationship and Performance Management

• You lead local sourcing for high spend projects, with high degree of procurement technical competency, including but not limited to : issues and opportunity assessment, spend and supply base review, cost/benefit analysis, RFx (RFI/RFP/RFQ) process mastery and commercial contract review 

• You collaborate with Regional Procurement Category Leads in operationalising Category Strategies locally, supplementing and/or adapting as required to address local nuances

• You are accountable for delivery of procurement operational service level agreements (SLAs) and achievement of set Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)

• You make an impact by not only by helping elevate the procurement standards in-country, but also in proactively identifying procurement opportunities and taking initiative and imagination to formulate solutions

• You are responsible for coaching and mentoring a small team, and providing upskilling opportunities

The Must Haves

• You have the Heart, Hunger, Honour and Humility required to work at Grab

• You are an experienced procurement professional with proven track record in leading local operations with strong results. Experience in managing Indirect procurement in either local or regional capacity is a big plus.

• You have a solid know-how of procurement fundamentals and mastery of ERP systems eg. Oracle, SAP Ariba

• You take pride in your ability to build strong business / stakeholder relationships

• You lead by doing, and have servant leadership mindset. 

• You are resourceful, adaptable to change, proactive, pragmatic, positive. 

• You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and an obsession on treating internal teams and external vendors with equal respect and humility
