About the Role:

We’re looking for a dynamic, hearty and proven Content Strategy Lead to continue producing fun, useful and locally-relevant content for Grab’s apps and websites for our passengers and drivers.

The Content Strategy Lead will be responsible for driving Grab’s regional and local content strategy through writing and governing. Beyond that, we’re looking for exceptional editing skills and someone who is keen on advocating Grab’s brand voice internally and externally.

This role will oversee our Content Strategy team and deliver quality content together with other content strategists. The right candidate will also be expected to roll up his/her sleeves to craft creative but useful content for Grab’s transport and payment businesses.

The Content Strategy Lead will contribute to Grab’s overall business objectives and drive the best results.

Responsibilities:

  • Be useful (just like the content we create for our users)!

  • Advocate and execute content strategy and brand voice for Grab.

  • Establish and maintain internal work processes for content creation, review, governance and constant improvement.

  • Do the same for localisation to ensure we create localised content which is useful for local users.

  • Drive localised content strategy for key markets to help Grab win with content that resonates with local audience.

  • Get your hands really dirty and work closely with other content strategists on the team, coach and mentor them to become even more outstanding content strategists!

  • Take a lead on approving final content.

  • Oversee the Content Strategy team’s overall output and support prioritisation of workload and long term goals.

  • Build relationship with UX designers, UX researchers, product managers, product marketing managers, engineers, business owners and PMOs. After all, things will get done much easier with great work relationship!

Ideal candidate:

  • At least 8 years of solid experience as a UX content strategist in a tech environment, preferably for e-commerce and payment apps and websites.

  • Solid background in copywriting and UX with superior written, verbal, and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of Grab, the Southeast Asia markets and user behaviour.

  • Still function well and maintain happy demeanour in a fast-paced, stressful environment and when juggling multiple responsibilities.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Strong project management to effectively prioritise projects and meet project timelines.

  • Solid people management skills and is keen on sharing experience (work and outside of work) and knowledge.

  • Experience in localisation and knowledge in translation processes and tools.

  • Proficiency in one of the Southeast Asian languages and/or Chinese (preferably simplified Chinese) is a strong plus. We need someone who understands the challenges and what it takes to create localised content for multiple markets.
