At Kudo, we are working towards revolutionizing the way small traditional businesses like neighbourhood mom and pop stores or warungs operate, empowering them with technology to increase their earning potential and ease of doing business. One such initiative from Kudo is to connect manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers with these traditional stores through Kudo’s platform enabling these stores to order their inventory online. We are looking for City Growth Managers who have a high degree of talent, leadership and drive to setup and take this incredibly challenging but impactful business forward.
As the City Growth Manager, you will be responsible to setup and grow your city to a scale. You will be owning the growth goals of your city and will be working with your city team and various internal and external stakeholders to achieve this. Given the extreme hyperlocal nature of this business, you will be overseeing growing both the supply side as well as the demand side managing every part of the process in between.
You will continually focus on increasing Kudo’s reach to more stores in your city while in parallel improving Kudo’s value-proposition to these stores. You will explore new avenues of growth leveraging multiple innovative levers. Internally, you will be supported by strong business development, sales, marketing and product team to help you leverage our past experience and expertise to help you achieve these results quickly and more efficiently.
Once you setup and grow the city to certain size, you can decide to stay on, managing that city for a more organic growth or move on to bring the impact that Kudo creates to the next city!

Get to know the Role:
Own the business:
Co-own the P&L for the city along with the sales team,
Analyse data and trends to understand where opportunities are and define the short & medium-term roadmap to achieve growth targets for your city
Drive business growth:
Convert strategies into action to ensure growth objectives are attained
Enhance value proposition for stores through improving experience and unlocking reasons for stores to order with us
Work with Business Development team to ensure a robust supply across categories in your city
Unlock new markets and stores for Kudo by working closely with our marketing and sales teams
Know the customer
Deeply understand customer behaviour, develop new customer insights and communicate the same to sales, BD and product teams
Know the competition
Understand the direct and indirect competitors behaviour in your city. Ensure Kudo’s offering stays best in class
De-bottleneck
Work towards identifying bottlenecks and addressing them with creative and practical solutions
Identify & communicate product/process needs to product team
The must haves:
Bachelor degree from top university with GPA 3.25 or more
3-4 years of experience in business growth roles / management consulting or similar roles
Past experience of working in fast paced environment
Strategic thinking and sound-business judgment
Data-driven decision making mentality and strong analytical thinking, along with a creative solutions-driven mindset
Ability to productively collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders through solid project-management and communication
Perseverance, grit and leadership to help navigate your team through unforeseen challenges
Stellar networking skills and the ability to make smart partnerships happen
Knowledge of retail, consumer goods industry is a plus
Willingness to travel on need basis (frequent travel to Jakarta is possible)
