Get to know the Role:

  • The Workforce Planning Specialist will drive the workforce strategies, planning and analysis of Grab’s people resources across the region. He/she will be responsible for resource planning that drives a highly productivity culture in Grab, that contributes to the success of Grab’s businesses and operations across the region.

  • Be resourceful, flexible and deal well with ambiguity. Be creative and bold with solutions.

The day-to-day activities:

Problem Solving

  • Understand specific business challenges and work with business heads and People Business Partners to recommend the best resourcing plan

  • Engaging stakeholders to develop, maintain and analyse trends in productivity metrics via productivity dashboards.

Workforce Planning

  • Analyse demand and supply for resource planning

  • Analyse and recommend workforce planning solutions to address skill gaps, etc.

Budgeting

  • Provide support to Regional Finance team for quarterly and bi-annual budgeting cycles, which includes parameters on staff costs assumptions and support the analysis of overall staff costs budgets.

  • Managing functional budgets owned by Head of Pops and ensuring that they are built with rigour and from zero-based.

The must haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical area such as HRM, Business, Finance

  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of work experience

  • Quantitative analysis

  • Business and financial modeling

  • Strong Excel skills – create macros, pivot tables, etc.

  • PowerPoint and Word

  • Workforce planning and/or preparation of financial budgets

  • Business problem analysis and solution implementation

  • Stakeholder engagement and alignment

  • Manage scale HR projects like mergers and integrations.

  • Demonstrated business acumen

  • Process-oriented mindset, with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to fluently communicate with business, operations and technical teams, plus strong presentation ability

  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work with a wide range of people

  • Ability to set goals and execute under tight deadlines

  • Ability to balance an intense attention to detail with swift execution

  • Deal well with uncertainty

  • Methodical and numerical
