This position is accountable for the achievement of JVC's Corporate Safety, Health, Environment and Security (SHES) Policy targets.
Major item is as follows:
- Conduct/ monitor the HSES Meetings
- Conduct the training for the new worker as JVC training program prepared
- Arrange & monitor Tool box meeting, START meeting
- Liaise/ assist local government authorities, when requested to do so
- Liaise/ assist the Safety/ Security Manager, when requested to do so
- Monitor the site traffic control plan
- Assist with the coordination of "Emergency Procedures" practice drills.
- Participate in the site safety inspection patrols, completing inspection reports and coordinate necessary following-up actions
- Check all plant/equipment and tool certifications, including Subcontractors "Planned Maintenance Inspection Programmers" and site colour coding requirements
- Inspect crane operators "competence certificates" and other vehicle/ plant drivers licenses
- Monitor the compliance of environment management plan and completing the report
- Check correct PPE compliance being worn on site
- Check Statutory requirements
- Oversee compliance for "hazardous activity" method statements
- Investigate/follow-up accidents, incidents and near-miss occurrences and assist with writing reports and issuing corrective measures to prevent recurrence
- Oversee site "housekeeping" and the general good appearance of the site, (including welfare facilities)
- Check the condition of safety signs/ posters that are displayed/ erected throughout the construction site
- Ensure Subcontractor compliance to all Government, Client and JVC's SHES rules/ regulations, and if necessary, suspend/stop illegal or dangerous practices.
- Organize/ direct safety supervisors under his control, delegating tasks and areas of control
- Deputize for Safety/ Security Manager, when requested to do so
