In this role you will work along with other teams in the data center by providing your insights in the area of expertise on system and server design, administration and optimization of the hardware and software infrastructure components to ensure the daily operations of the data center is well controlled and governed. You will also be leading, mentoring and coaching the team of system and server engineer, database administrator and application engineer to ensure the infrastructure and applications are operating in the most optimized performance.
• Design, manage the installation, optimization, integration of:
o Operating Systems i.e. AIX, Unix, Linux, Windows Server 2008 and above.
o Virtual Machines i.e. VMWare, Hyper-V, PowerVM and Citrix.
o Application Servers i.e. Web Servers, Email Servers.
o Applications i.e. Business Critical, Infrastructure.
o Cloud platform
• Ensure data center installation is executed within agreed policy.
• Support, architects, installs, configures and maintains servers and server applications.
• Support IT project system implementation and deployments along with Infrastructure, Operations and maintenance (I & OM).
• Coordinate, test, and implement all enhancements or new releases of the Operating Systems and business critical software.
• Monitor, analyze, and evaluate system utilization to ensure the appropriate and efficient use of applications and system resources.
• Prepare documentation for proper use of systems, operating procedures for assigned systems and hardware, as well as procedures for managing and maintaining the assigned systems and infrastructure.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in Managing IT Infrastructure i.e. Enterprise Data Centers of medium to large scale.
• Acumen in Enterprise System Designing & Operations Management covering (but not limited to):
o Microsoft Technologies – Windows Servers, Hyper-V, Microsoft SQL Server.
o Virtual server technology, storage and backup software, monitoring software.
o VMWare ESX/i technologies.
o Unix and Linux system technologies.
o Asset Management System.
o Software Distribution system.
o SAP basis and SAP HANA.
o Cloud platforms.
• Experience with server virtualization and server clustering.
• Understand of information and security technologies, standards, policies and practices. (e.g. Active Directory, GPO, LDAP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP and VPN)
• Proficient in at least one of the following scripting languages. (VBScript, Python, Perl, JavaScript)
• Experience in Windows/Linux Administration.
• Understand of Configuration Management System concepts.
Education Qualification Requirement
• BSc. in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related major; or equivalent business experience.
Professional Certification Requirement
• Microsoft MCITP or MCSE or MCSA certifications, and any the following: SQL DBA, Cisco CCNA, VMware is an advantage.
• Oracle certification – Oracle Certified Professional or Oracle Certified Expert is an advantage.
