Job Purpose:
The Electrical Officer (ETO) is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical, electronic, and automation systems on board the offshore vessel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair main and auxiliary electrical systems including generators, switchboards, lighting, navigational equipment, etc.
- Operate and monitor control systems, motors, cranes, winches, and other deck machinery.
- Maintain electrical systems for ROVs and Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems if equipped.
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of electrical and automation systems.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment in collaboration with the Engine and Deck departments.
- Maintain records of equipment performance and maintenance.
- Train crew members on electrical safety and emergency procedures if required.
