Supply Planning Leader/ Supervisor

Job Summary

CJ Foods Vietnam is looking for a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven The Supply Planning Leader/ Supervisor to join our team. This role is responsible for leading and developing the Supply Planning team to ensure optimized production and replenishment plans that balance demand, capacity, and inventory targets. The role focuses on ensuring product availability across the network while minimizing cost and maximizing service level performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Planning Execution:

• Lead the Supply Planners to build weekly and monthly supply and production plans based on the approved demand forecast.

• Translate demand plans into feasible Master Production Schedules (MPS) and Distribution Plans (DRP) considering capacity, lead time, and constraints.

• Ensure production plans are aligned with available capacity and materials.

• Monitor daily plan adherence and initiate recovery actions for any deviations.

2. Inventory & Service Level Control:

• Set and monitor safety stock and days of inventory targets by product group.

• Track service level and fill rate performance; investigate and resolve gaps caused by supply issues.

• Drive root cause analysis for stock-out and slow-moving items, ensuring preventive measures are implemented.

• Optimize replenishment and transfer plans between distribution centers to maintain right-stock-right-place.

3. Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Partner with Demand Planning to review forecast accuracy and align production scenarios.

• Work with Production and Procurement teams to confirm capacity and material readiness.

• Collaborate with Logistics and Customer Service to ensure on-time delivery to customers.

• Represent Supply Planning in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings and support what-if scenario analysis.

4. Team Leadership & Process Improvement:

• Supervise and coach a team of Supply Planners to improve planning accuracy and responsiveness.

• Establish standard planning processes, calendars, and reporting templates.

• Promote continuous improvement (Kaizen, Lean) to streamline planning workflow.

• Support the adoption of ERP / planning tools (SAP, Excel, or BI dashboards) for automation and transparency.

1. Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of supply planning experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in FMCG / Food Manufacturing / Logistics preferred.

2. Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot, Power Query, VBA) and analytical tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Understanding of capacity planning, inventory management, and S&OP process.
