Get to know our Team:

This team will focus on ensuring that Grab’s self created Kitchens offer the best in class experience to merchants, eaters and drivers. The team will look collaborate with local and regional stakeholders to create processes that deliver an experience that will keep bring customers back


Get to know the Role:

  • Has strong strategic sense in order to lead and own projects that drive eater and restaurant satisfaction
  • Has strong operational skills in order to see that processes are well structured and optimised given limited resources
  • Has ability to generate strong analytical and data-driven insights for proof of concepts for projects as well as post-implementation assessment
  • Has the ability to “connect-the-dots”, and understands both on-ground realities of the business and the narrative of data from multiple sources
  • Has strong leadership skills
  • Deep understanding of metrics that drive operational excellence for kitchen
  • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills to help bridge relationships and tasks across functions and teams, both laterally and vertically
  • Keen interest in helping partners grow their business with the ultimate goal of driving value for GrabKitchen
  • Strongly believes in good experience for all stakeholders on our platform



The day-to-day activities:

  • Manage, track and monitor performance of kitchens in Singapore

  • Identify opportunities, provide and implement recommendations to improve the business

  • Ideate, propose and execute strong operational plans to support effective procurement and rollout of Merchant application and devices

  • Strategise, implement and optimise systems, processes and initiatives to ensure high-quality Merchant performance on our platform, according to the needs of the Merchant Lifecycle

  • Own the quality for our kitchen partners

  • Engage stakeholders across every function in in SEA, both lateral and vertical, to ensure that all dependencies are being processed efficiently

  • Able to lead a team, drive and execute on the strategies for high fulfillment rate, optimal menu presentations and strong kitchen operations

  • Able to manage multiple senior stakeholders

  • Ensuring operational spend vs budget in on track


The must haves:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from a reputable institution (MBA preferred, but optional)

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in start up, management consulting, operations or market expansion

  • F&B experience a plus

  • Fluent in English, and in-market language

  • Entrepreneurial & resourceful – Able to put on different hats

  • A “can-do” attitude

  • Able to bridge, connect and maintain relationships with local stakeholders both internal and external, as well as lateral and vertical

  • Able to propose/ make key decisions or provide solid recommendations based on data & analytical thinking and insights

  • Able to communicate plans and proposed ideas well

  • Strong knowledge of the local market, particularly in the food-tech or merchants vertical is a bonus

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel

  • Advanced and above in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
