Grab Ventures is the venture building and venture investments arm of Grab. We incubate new businesses within Grab and also partner with dynamic tech startups globally through strategic investments and startup programs. We are looking for a rockstar to join our startup programs and investments team to further strengthen our portfolio of startup programs. Learn more about our work here

Job Description:

• Program planning :

  • Support executive decisions on planning strategic themes for Grab Ventures Velocity (GVV) 

  • Propose design improvements to our programs through strong understanding of startup needs

• Startup sourcing and assessment :

  • Staying deeply plugged into local startup ecosystem developments through regular founder & investor meetings, startup events, meetups and conferences

  • Mobilize startup ecosystem connections to source highly investible startups for our programs & investments portfolio  

  • Analyze company information to prepare executive-ready summary/documents with recommendations on evaluated startups 

• Execution :

  • Be a gateway to the Grab world for program startups, being the first line for all their engagements with Grab during the course of the program  

  • Plan and manage program events 

  • Work closely with Grab tech & business teams to deliver a top notch experience to the startups during the program

  • Perform assessment of startups during pilot engagement and present evaluations and recommendations to the decision committee

  • Plan & support startup diligence activities  

 We invite candidates meeting below criteria to apply:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience, preferably in startup programs, VCs OR a high-growth startup OR consulting, investment banking firms   

• Strong academic credentials from top-tier institutions

• Natural relationship builder ; must demonstrate the aptitude to develop and own relationships within the startup ecosystem (founders and investors alike)

• High degree of comfort with building analysis in excel independently example, business plans, budgeting, valuation models etc

• Strong execution and program management skills

• Experienced and energized working in fast-paced, unstructured and dynamic work environments  

• Self-starters comfortable managing their day-to-day work independently to deliver results against defined goals 

• Preferred : 

  • Candidates fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia 

  • Demonstrated interest in local tech ecosystem and/or experience at a local startup

  • Flexibility with regional travel at least 25% of the time
