We have an immediate need for a SQL Server Developer having atleast 8+ plus years of experience. The candidate should have experience working with MS SQL Server, SQL Server 2008/2012 preferably from Insurance background.
Plan, design, develop, test, implement, analyze maintain database models and content. Well versed in data modeling and OLAP technology.
· Write and optimize SQL statements, stored procedures functions and other database artifacts using SQL
· Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
· Write scripts for collection of statistics, reorganization of tables and indexes for enhancing performance for data access
· Profile server resource usage, and optimize and tweak as necessary
· Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders, work closely with infrastructure staff to assist with successful product installation and upgrades
· Prepare documentations and specifications. Review codes of other developer and make sure guidelines and best practices are followed
Skills and Qualifications
· Should have experience of working in Insurance domain.
· Strong proficiency with SQL Server and skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
· Understanding of database architecture, statement parsing, query optimizer, etc.
· Strong reporting background against large databases involving complex multi table joins.
· Excellent communication skills required for client and team interaction.
· Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
· Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it.
· Proficient understanding of code version tools such as Git, SVN, TFS.
