MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for ensuring the continuous supply chain of materials, equipment, and outsourcing services for the factory. The role involves managing procurement from raw materials (Aluminum ingots) and consumables to heavy machinery, while overseeing subcontractor management (surface treatment), driving cost-down initiatives, and handling customs clearance procedures.
- Sourcing & Procurement
- Raw Materials Sourcing : Constantly review market price fluctuations (LME monitoring) and sourcing for lowest price & better term & condition with raw material suppliersbased on production schedules and
- Spare Parts & MRO: Review the existing pricing and sourcing for new spare parts, consumables, lubricants/coolants for CNC machines and Die Casting machines; cutting tools, inserts, and general factory supplies.
- CAPEX (Jigs/Tools/Equipment/Machines): Source and compare technical specs and commercial terms for major equipment investments such asMolds, Dies, Jigs, Fixtures, and new machinery according to technical specifications from production team.
- New Product Development (NPD): Collaborate with the R&D/Engineering team to source sample materials and specialized components for new projects, ensuring "Time-to-market" targets are metSub-contractors Outsourcing: Search for, evaluate, and manage subcontractors for secondary processes: Plating (Anodizing, Zinc plating, etc.), Painting (Powder coating, Wet painting), and Heat Treatment.
- Maintenance Services: Source specialized service providers for the repair and maintenance of CNC systems, HPDC machines, and Robotic arms when internal teams require external support.
- Strategy, Cost & Compliance
- Sourcing Strategy: Develop and maintain a diverse supplier base to minimize supply chain risks and ensure continuity.
- Cost Down Projects by Analyze current cost structures and market trends.
- Vendor Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct periodic performance reviews of suppliers and subcontractors regarding Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service (QCDS).
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
(I) Education::
· Bachelor’s degree in economics, Foreign Trade, Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
(II) Work Experience
· Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Preferred: Candidates with technical knowledge in CNC Machining, Die Casting, or Mold/Die making industries.
(III) Knowledge & Skills:
· Technical Understanding: Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings (2D/3D) is a strong advantage (for purchasing Jigs/Molds/Mechanical parts).
· Material Knowledge: Understanding of aluminum materials, cutting tools, and surface treatment processes (Plating/Painting).
· Understanding in Incoterms, International Payment methods (L/C, T/T), and Customs procedures.
· Negotiation: Strong capability in price negotiation and contract management.
· Software: Proficient in MS Office and ERP software (SAP, Oracle, ERP, U9, etc.).
(IV) Personal Attributes::
· Integrity and transparency.
· Ability to work under high pressure regarding delivery deadlines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
(V) Language
· Good command of English. Chinese is a plus
