Sourcing & Purchasing Staff (R&D Department)

Job Duties:

• Source and evaluate suppliers for electrical and mechanical components required for prototype development and R&D activities.
• Place and follow up on sample orders and consumables used in product development and testing.
• Compare pricing, lead time, technical compatibility, and propose the most suitable vendors.
• Work closely with R&D engineers to understand technical specifications and ensure sourcing aligns with project needs.
• Maintain and update supplier database, quotations, purchase records, and related documents.
• Coordinate internally to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
• Support import procedures for sample components (if any).
• This position does not handle mass production procurement.

• Education Required

  College or University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields.

  Experience Required

  ·         At least 3 years of experience in technical sourcing or purchasing, preferably in electrical/mechanical components.

  ·         Basic understanding of components such as connectors, wires, PCBs, motors, mechanical parts, etc.

  ·         Good experience in SAP system.

  ·         Strong communication and negotiation skills; attention to detail is a must.

  ·         Proficient in Microsoft Excel and order tracking tools.

  ·          Able to read technical documents and communicate with international suppliers in English (intermediate level).

  ·          Chinese language skills are a big plus (for communicating with suppliers from China).
