About the Role

As the Regional Social Media Manager at Grab, the ideal candidate will be able to lead the editorial and social discipline in Southeast Asia market. He or she will ensure excellence in communication, creative and analytic output for Grab Social. The candidate will operate and coordinate across multiple teams and thrive in a startup culture, with the goal of building positive conversation ripples for Grab online.

With oversight and ownership of the content published across all of the brand’s social media channels regionally- Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and the App (via GrabDaily) - you’ll play an integral role to not only grow the business, but shape people’s perceptions of it. You should be an innovator and expert in social media marketing, content development, and creative ideas—ready to scale Grab’s social engagement to match our rapidly growing Southeast Asian brand.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and cascade Regional Social Strategy that support marketing plans and business objectives, and upholds Grab’s narrative.

  • Strategically prioritise and scale regional content initiatives with external stakeholders - including publisher partnerships and influencer partnerships - based on Regional’s unique business requirements and customer needs.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Performance Marketing, Comms, and Customer Experience to maximise the business impact of Social @ Grab.

  • Liaise closely with the Regional Paid Social Media team to maximise the reach and impact analysis of all activity across channels.

  • Work closely with social analyst to develop measurement & reporting of regional social activity.

  • Share in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios to push the possibilities of Social @ Grab

  • Be a thought leader and advocate for creating world class content for Grab in SEA. Lead and share the best practices, timely case studies and tool expertise to the local social media managers.

  • Empower and guide the local social media managers to achieve strategic, creative and operational excellence through the content series and campaigns they develop.

Here are the kinds of skills we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years experience running Social Marketing efforts for a global brand
  • Passion for developing intrinsically social content - ideating with creative teams and guiding external partners against the strategy
  • Ability and curiousity to use research and data to inform and bolster creative decisions (experience with social analytics and social listening tools a must)
  • Knowledgeable & willing to learn about social media amplification and distribution, including organic and paid strategies, and native distribution
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Supreme collaboration and organisational skills to manage cross-functional stakeholders
