We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipment Manager to oversee the procurement, import, and export operations of our global spice supply chain. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Incoterms, international trade documentation, and import-export procedures. This role requires collaboration with international suppliers, local teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless logistics, compliance, and timely payments
• Manage end-to-end shipping and logistics processes for importing spices from various countries.
• Coordinate with international suppliers to confirm shipping schedules, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure adherence to global trade policies and country-specific import/export regulations.
• Apply and interpret Incoterms to negotiate terms, costs, and responsibilities for shipments.
• Prepare and verify all required shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, Customs Declarations, Certificates of Origin, and Import/Export Licenses.
• Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and shipping agents to expedite clearance and delivery.
• Monitor shipment progress, resolve logistical issues, and optimize transportation costs.
• Collaborate with finance and local teams to settle payments with suppliers and carriers promptly.
• Keep abreast of international trade policies, tariffs, and trade agreements impacting procurement.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers, logistics partners, and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and compliance documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in international shipping, import-export processes, or supply chain management in a manufacturing or trade environment.
• Deep knowledge of Incoterms, international trade documentation, and customs procedures.
• Familiarity with trade policies, tariffs, and regulations across different countries.
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and international partners.
• Proficiency in logistics software, MS Office, and trade compliance tools
