Senior Software Engineering Manager, Mobile

Get to know the Team:

Currently, the group has ~25 engineers organized in 5 subteams, each team with a direct manager. The group operates in three sites: Singapore, Beijing, Bangalore.

Leadership Requirements:

• 3+ years of leadership experience with teams of 10+ people

• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship

• Strong communication skills - especially in an international multi-site environment

• Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Program Management, Product Management, Engineering, User Experience and user research

Tech Requirements:

• 8+ years engineering experience on iOS or Android

• 3+ years developing in Swift or Kotlin

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

• Strong computer science fundamentals, especially data structures

• Strong foundational knowledge of Objective-C or Java

• Mastery of multi-threading and memory management

• Mastery of asynchronous strategies

• Experience with geo components on mobile like iOS Core location or Android Location Manager

• Extensive experience with version control systems (Git)

• Shipped robust, high-performance, high-scalability applications to production

Preferred Skills:

• Familiar with Agile / Scrum and modern software development processes

• Passionate about software design and architecture

• Deeply concerned with performance

• Disciplined approach to development, testing and documentation

• Experience with automated testing, continuous integration and A/B testing frameworks
