The Web Platform team at Grab is a part of the engineering scale family, and works across all web teams at Grab, driving development standards and delivering top notch automation systems, frameworks and tooling for enabling an ecosystem that supports faster and easier software releases and better scalability of our product.

We utilize industry-leading technologies like React, AWS, Lambda, Aurora, Kafka, Terraform, Docker, so there is always room to learn and to mentor.

Get to know the Role:

• Conceive, design, build state-of-the-art tools & systems required to support rapid development of web based features, with the highest quality standards, for our global engineering organization.

• Drive definition of a framework that would codify all best development practices around web development taking React as a foundation

• Work with the rest of the team to develop solutions that would eliminate any friction in development lifecycle for web engineers

• Be at the center of the transformation of our engineering culture.

Tech skills:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience

• Expert-level experience in React and the eagerness to learn more

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field

• Excellent technical problem solving skills and aptitude to learn new technologies and methodologies.

• Low tolerance for inefficiency and the burning desire to automate anything that can be automated.

• Strong drive to be part of a large scale, growing organization and do whatever it takes to get us to the next level of engineering & service excellence.
