Senior Software Engineer, Full stack

Focus of the role: 

• GrabPay works with many merchants and internal stakeholders. GFG wants to improve user experience of these people by having a portal where they can interact easily with

• FE Engineer should be able to optimizing loading time, understand different quirks for different browser, able to architect components on a web, construct data flow from API to UI and deploy FE. 

Get to know the Role:

• Define and shape the fundamentals of engineering at Grab.

• Design and write maintainable code at scale

• Discuss/propose solution to improve User Experience

• Continuously discuss, debate with other team members to propose optimal solutions for different problems

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a UI or product engineering role

• Strong native JavaScript and DOM fundamentals

• Non-trivial experience with at least one widely-used front end framework (Angular/React/Vue etc.)

• Strong understanding of JavaScript concurrency primitives, such as Promise , generator functions (function*() { ... } ), async /await 

• Basic understanding of functional programming concepts (immutability, list manipulation, recursion)

• Experience (whether personal or professional) with functional programming languages (Scala, Clojure, Reason, etc.) is a plus

• Familiarity with modern web build systems (Webpack, Babel)

• Not afraid of unfamiliar technology with crappy documentation

• Comfortable with writing abstractions over low-level and/or experimental interfaces (e.g. JSON-RPC, gRPC, websockets)

• Curious and hungry to see growth. E.g. “Will I convert more if I build X in a certain way?”

• Familiar and comfortable with A/B testing methodologies
