Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack (Ads)

Get to know our Team:

The Ads serving team is at the core of Grab’s advertising business. The team runs real time distributed systems to make personalized decisions on each ad requests from Grab’s massive user base in Southeast Asia.

The day-to-day activities:

• Create and maintain Grab ads backend system such as ads serving, logging, user datastore, personalization service, analytics pipelines, business dashboard, etc.

• Evaluate and integrate 3rd party services for verification purposes, etc.

• Create and maintain native image/video ad placements in mobile iOS/Android apps.

• Integrate in-house or third-party SDKs into mobile iOS/Android apps for tracking, creative rendering, etc.

• System design, coding, unit/integration testing, writing technical documents, etc.

Requirements:

• A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related fields.

• Up-to-date on the modern mobile app (iOS/Android) programming paradigm, including the use of Swift and/or Kotlin.

• Hands-on coder who has built backend services that handle high volume traffic.

• You have working knowledge of several architectural approaches, caching, data storage and security.

• Strong CS fundamentals (with competencies in algorithms and data structures).

• You are highly accountable and take ownership. You also have a collaborative attitude, because ‘Your Problem Is My Problem’ (YPIMP).

• Experience in advertising or cross-platform technology (React Native / Flutter) is a big plus.
