Senior Shipping Supervisor

Job Summary

Assist manager to administer daily outbound operation for OPD Export team.

Lead the team to handle/manage all export shipping activity for all assigned factories. Traveling to different factories to supervise operation & proper communication with BU board for operation update

Managing the department report in terms of Logistics shipping expense/ vendor/ internal KPI report.
Coordinating with regional team for managing the project under department included full scope (Inbound/ Outbound/ Customs).

Responsibilities

• Overview of all outbound shipping planning, effective communication and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to ensure all the export shipments are on time and meet customer requests.
• Manage OB Trucker/CB/ supplier for operation/ shipping expense/ contracting and regular review supplier’s KPI report.
• Participate in regular meeting/ communication with Suppliers & drive for their service improvement.
• Control monthly BU shipping expense – normal & abnormal cost.
• Monitor subordinates’ performance, overview for process improvement and engage in internal & department projects.
• Provide the manager with regular reports on department activities, managing operational exceptions and urgent requests.
• Participate in recruitment, training & developing staff.
• Asist in ad-hoc projects & report.

Requirements                 

Academic

• Bachelor’s degree, major in Logistics/ Supply chain/ Foreign Trade/ Business Administration.

Years of experience

• 5 years’ working experience (background in EPE is preferred).
• Min 2 years in the Leader role with the team size min of 10 people.

Special knowledge

• General knowledge about Logistics, customs procedure, shipment arrangements, order processing.
• Understanding about customs regulations for EPE, familia with C/O forms & applications process.
• Computer knowledge (excel, word, PowerPoint, Power Query, PBI), good excel is required.
• Data analysis skill (Power BI/ Power Query) is preferred.
• Able to use VNACCS software, ERP system (Oracle is preferred).
• Good in English communication (writing & speaking).

• Good reporting & presentation skills.

Working Location: SHTP - Thu Duc City - HCMC. Shuttle buses from HCM, Binh Duong and Dong Nai are available.
