Get to know the Role:
We are looking for Launchers to start a new vertical from scratch in matter of months
New verticals are a critical piece of Grab's success and Launchers are at the tip of the spear. This is an intense business-side startup role where no two days are alike. To excel, you have to be smart, but more importantly, you have to be self-motivated, have exceptional relation-building skills and be highly analytical. The role will require frequent travel within ASEAN
The day-to-day activities:
Develop a new grocery pilot project
Identify the best way to launch the pilot at rocket speed
Become an expert on the new business model: understand the pain points, market opportunity, and economics
Work closely across Grab functions such as ops, product, analytics, and BD teams to ensure successful launch and management
Source partners and vendors, negotiate terms & contracts
Work closely with marketing team to identify key levers that will accelerate the new business growth by consistently innovating and executing on unique strategies for acquiring customers
Own the execution of all program management initiative, prioritize and manage projects & tasks for the new business, ensuring proper planning and on time, on target execution
Prepare and provide regular updates on progress to internal and external stakeholders
Monitor and be accountable for relevant metrics to evaluate business success
The must haves:
5-7 years expertise in grocery retail (online or offline) is a must, preferably with a deep understanding of the fresh category, including supplier/ distributor landscape
Fluency and ability to speak & write in Bahasa Indonesia and English is a must
Must be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive and desire to achieve goals at speed
Ability to thrive in ultra-fast paced environment and deliver high-quality results independently
Strong problem solving with a hands-on approach- must be highly structured and analytical with strong quantitative skills
Entrepreneurial experience/ experience in a startup or early stage tech company is a plus
