The GrabPay Strategy team assists leads in the development of the business' long term objectives and setting its course. By assessing a broad range of trends and issues that span across markets, customer, competitor, regulatory and technology insights, the team develops winning strategies that will have a significant impact on the company’s growth.
Get to know the Role:
- Support the formulation of the company’s strategy based on clear issue framing, systems-level thinking and rigorous analyses
- Work either in a small team or individually on time-sensitive but mission critical projects or standalone analyses
The day-to-day activities:
- Analyse the performance the company’s business portfolio and identify new opportunities for growth
- Support the running of GrabPay strategic planning cadence and calendar
- Engage senior executives in the development and execution of strategic initiatives
- Help influence a high-performance culture by challenging critical business assumptions and encouraging cross-functional collaboration across Grab
- Conduct studies on key issues that will shape GrabPay's and Grab's longer term strategy
- Up to 50% travel expected
The must haves:
- A degree with good honours from a top tier university
- Highly proficient in quantitative analyses and complex financial modelling
- Prior experience in financial services or banking will be an added advantage
- Highly comfortable in an semi-structured environment and organisation that changes frequently
- A self-starter and independent learner who takes the initiative to challenge the status quo
- Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- 3 - 5 years of top tier strategy/ management consulting experience or corporate strategy/ planning experience
- Entrepreneurship experience would be a bonus
