The GrabFinancial Strategy and Planning team is a regional team that assists in the development of the business' long term objectives, setting its course, and defining and managing performance metrics. The team works on specific strategic projects that are regional in nature, as well as drives key planning and organizational milestones. By assessing a broad range of trends and issues that span across markets, customer, competitor, regulatory and technology insights, the team develops winning strategies that will have a significant impact on the company’s growth.
Get to know the Role:
Lead portfolio of high visibility strategic projects across various
Support Head of Strategy in the formulation, analytical review, preparation and communication of the GFG Strategy
Partner with senior stakeholders to understand and logically structure the problem, develop hypothesis, work with cross-functional teams to validate the hypothesis, develop strategy to address the problem, and develop recommendations and execution plan to present to Management/Exco
For some projects travel may be necessary to support our colleagues across the six countries
The day-to-day activities:
Be a thought partner to senior stakeholders across GFG vertical and country teams
Develop a strategic framework to analyze business problems, develop hypotheses, mine data, deliver recommendations, and orchestrate solutions.
Build analysis & presentation to help senior stakeholders decision making.
Sync with senior leadership on country-wide business portfolio and new opportunities for growth; Develop deep understanding of what drives growth and efficiency for our business
Develop short-term and long-term performance goals for the business
Lead and manage project teams where needed
Partner with the leadership team to coordinate budget and planning activities, and communicate our objectives for budget approvals
The must haves:
At least 10+ years of experience
Significant experience in leading strategy projects at a top Management Consulting firm or in a Corporate Strategy group in a multinational environment
Strong presentation skills including on power point/ work, suited for senior executives
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and proven experience of project management
Highly comfortable in an semi-structured environment and organisation that changes frequently
Prior experience in financial services or banking will be an added advantage
A self-starter and independent learner who takes the initiative to challenge the status quo
Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
